Shankar Stores

Shankar Stores is situated on Ambedkar Salai in the Kovilambakkam area of Chennai. You can find us near the Rr Construction site, which has been a landmark around here for a while. Our shop isn't very large, but we try to make the most of the space we have. We’ve been serving this part of Chennai for several years now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood grow a lot in that time. The road outside can get pretty busy with commuters, especially during the rush hours. We usually have the doors open early so people can stop in before they head off to work. It’s a simple setup—just some shelves, a counter, and a lot of different products crammed in. We don't use any fancy technology to run things, just a pen and paper mostly. It works fine for us. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we have a couple of fans going to keep the air moving. We aren't a corporate chain or anything like that. It’s just a local business where we know most of the people who walk in. We try to keep things stocked based on what our regulars ask for. If someone needs something specific, we try to get it in for them next time. It’s a practical, everyday kind of place. We’re just glad to be a small part of the Kovilambakkam community and help out where we can with whatever folks need.
