Senthil Stores

Our shop is situated on Jeenis Road in the Saidapet area of Chennai. If you are familiar with this part of town, you know it’s a place that never really stays quiet. We are right there in the thick of it. We’ve been running Senthil Stores for quite some time, and the building itself has seen a lot of seasons. We handle all kinds of small goods and grocery items that the local residents need for their homes. Most of our day is spent behind the counter, looking out at the traffic and the people walking by on Jeenis Road. It’s a small shop but we try to make the most of the space we have. You’ll find things stacked up to the ceiling in some spots. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure everything is in order. Sometimes we have to move things around to find exactly what a customer wants, but we usually know our stock pretty well. The humidity in Chennai can be tough, but we just keep the doors open and the fans going. We aren’t trying to be the biggest store in the city. We just want to be the one that the people on this street can rely on when they need something quickly. It’s a simple life, and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the pace of Saidapet over the years.
