If you head down Mettukuppam Road in Maduravoyal, you’ll find us at 124/126 B. We are tucked into the Sree Venkateswara Nagar area. It’s a neighborhood that has grown a lot lately, with new houses popping up everywhere you look. We started this trading spot because we saw how much stuff people needed to get their own projects finished. Our yard is usually a bit of a mess with supplies and stacks of materials, but we manage to find what we’re looking for eventually. It’s a family-run operation. My cousin handles the deliveries and I stay here at the desk to talk to whoever walks in. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we are constantly wiping down the counter. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s honest. We spend a lot of time giving advice on which materials work best for the local weather. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if a neighbor is in a hurry to finish a job before the rain starts. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything fancy like that. Word of mouth has always been enough for us. Maduravoyal is a busy place to live and work, and we feel lucky to have a spot here where we can help out the local community. It’s just how we do things here, one day at a time, without any shortcuts.
