Satheesh Maligai Store

Satheesh Maligai Store has been here on Manapathur Road for a good while now. It’s just a small place in Vangaram where we keep the shelves stocked with the usual things people need every day. Usually, I'm the one opening up early in the morning to get things ready before the first customers walk in. It’s mostly just rice, lentils, and the basic groceries you’d expect from a local shop like ours. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and we have to wait around, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It is mostly just bags and jars everywhere. People stop by on their way home from work to pick up whatever they forgot to get earlier. My family helps out when it gets busy in the evenings. We know most of the people around here by name since they’ve been coming to 47, Manapathur Road for years. It’s dusty sometimes because of the road work nearby, but we try to keep the place tidy enough. We just focus on making sure we have enough stock so no one leaves disappointed. There isn't much to say other than we are a regular shop doing regular work. It’s hard work, standing all day, but it keeps us going. Most days are quiet until the school lets out. Then it gets a bit noisy for an hour or so. We like it that way.
