Sathana Stores

We are tucked away in Perambur, specifically at Teet’s Garden on 1st Street. It’s a residential area mostly, so we get to know our neighbors pretty well. The address is No.40/50, and we’ve been at this location for a good while. Running a store in Chennai means dealing with the heat and the rain, and we’ve seen plenty of both from this doorstep. We handle mostly general items that people need for their kitchens or daily lives. It’s not a massive place, so we have to be careful about what we order so there is space for everything. You won't find any fancy displays here, just shelves full of things like rice, oil, and soap. We open up early because that’s when people like to do their shopping before it gets too hot. The street outside is usually full of bikes and people walking their kids to school. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It’s a nice community around here in Perambur. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but we just keep going. It’s a lot of work keeping everything stocked and clean, but it keeps us busy. We are just a local shop trying to do a decent job for the people on our street. It’s just simple work for us.
