Saravana Oil Stores

Saravana Oil Stores is a small, local shop located at No: 69 on 7th Street in Veerabathran Nagar, Medavakkam. It is a pretty typical street in this part of town, with houses and small shops lined up close together. We focus on selling various types of cooking oils to the people living nearby. The shop is just a single room filled with large metal drums and plastic containers. We spend a lot of our time pouring oil into bottles and weighing them out on the old scale we have on the counter. It can be a messy job, and the floor always has a bit of a sheen to it from all the years of business. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. Most of our customers are neighbors who have been coming to us for a long time. They stop in to buy their weekly supply and usually stay for a few minutes to chat about the local news.
