Santhi General Stores

Santhi General Stores is situated at Pl.No. 17/14 on Rayaji Street. It is a small shop tucked away on a residential road. We do not get the huge highway traffic like some other places, but we have a very loyal group of neighbors who come to us for everything. The street is usually quiet, except for the occasional scooter or the local kids playing outside. I keep the shop open through the afternoon when most other places might close for a rest. The inside is packed with all sorts of things, from soap to snacks and everything in between. Sometimes I struggle to find where I put a certain item because the space is so limited. We do not have a big sign or any fancy lights. People just know we are here because we have been part of Rayaji Street for years. It is a simple setup. I sit on a stool near the entrance and watch the day go by. You get to know everyone’s name and what they usually buy. Sometimes people come in just because they are short on something for dinner and need it right away. We try to be helpful and keep things in stock. It is not a place that will make us rich, but it provides a steady life and keeps us connected to the people around us. It is just a normal neighborhood store where the floor is a bit uneven.
