Sant Lal Balkishan Dass (Madras)

Our office for Sant Lal Balkishan Dass (Madras) is at No. 170 on Linghi Chetty Street. If you know Chennai, you know this is one of the oldest and busiest parts of the city. The streets are narrow and always packed with people, rickshaws, and carts. It has got that old-fashioned trading vibe that you do not find in the newer malls. We have been in this building for quite a while now. It is a bit of a maze inside with all the old wooden doors and narrow hallways, but it is home to us. We handle our trading and paperwork from here. It gets very hot during the day, so the ceiling fans are always running at full speed. We do not have a big fancy sign out front, just a small one that has been there for years. The guys who work here have been with us for a long time and they know the rhythm of the street perfectly. We usually get our coffee from the same person every morning. There is a lot of history in these walls. We are not a modern tech firm with bean bags and free snacks. We are just a traditional business doing things the way they have been done for a long time. It can be chaotic with the noise from the street, but we would not want to be anywhere else. It is a real place with real people working hard.
