Jay Chamuda Traders

We’re based at No:9-B in Kannan Avenue, just off Mudichur Road. It’s in the Old Perungalathur area. We do trading here at Jay Chamuda Traders. It’s mostly just a lot of moving goods around and talking to suppliers. The office is a small room with a couple of chairs and a lot of receipts piled up. It’s not a polished corporate environment. We wear our everyday clothes and keep things informal. Mudichur Road is always busy, so there’s always something happening outside. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking the stock in the back. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes when everything arrives at once, but we manage to get it sorted. We aren't a huge firm with a lot of departments. It’s just a few of us working together. We like being in Old Perungalathur because it’s a familiar place. People know they can just drop by and talk to us. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. Word of mouth is how most people find out about what we’re doing. It’s a practical business. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure the orders are right. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy from morning to night. Every day is a little different depending on what arrives at the door and who calls us.
