Gayatri Agro Industries

Gayatri Agro Industries operates out of Building Number 19 on Hamilton Road in George Town. It’s an old part of the city, and the building has that weathered look that comes with years of heavy use. We spend our days surrounded by the smell of iron and the steady hum of machines. George Town is a crowded place, so there is always a lot of movement outside our doors. Farmers and suppliers often drop by to talk about parts or to check on their orders. The office inside is pretty simple, with stacks of ledgers and a few old chairs for guests. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some calendars on the wall and the usual clutter of a working shop. Our work revolves around the seasons, so some months are much louder and more frantic than others. When the sun gets high in the afternoon, things slow down just enough for a tea break near the window. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the way we handle the agro equipment stays pretty much the same. It’s hard work, and our hands are rarely clean by the end of the day. We don't spend time on fancy speeches or big presentations. Most of what we do is just making sure the equipment is ready when the harvest comes around, and that keeps us plenty busy enough on Hamilton Road.
