Sankar Store

Down here at No:182 on 4th Street, you will find Sankar Store. We are right in the TNHB Colony in Korattur. It is a nice part of Chennai 600050. One of the main landmarks near us is the Hebinesh School. You can always tell when school is letting out because the street fills up with kids and parents. They usually stop in for a drink or some small items on their way home. The shop has been sitting on this street for a good while. We spend our mornings dusting the jars and making sure the rice bags are stacked properly. It is a simple life running a general store. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. We just put the stuff out where people can see it. Living in the TNHB Colony means we have a lot of regular neighbors coming by. We talk about the weather or the local news while we weigh out items. Sometimes the afternoons are quiet, but it picks up again in the evening. Our address at No:182 is easy to find once you are on 4th Street. We try to keep the most common things people need at home so they don't have to travel far. It is just a regular shop run by regular people. We stay open until the street lights come on and everyone has finished their shopping for the day.
