Sakthi Stores

Sakthi Stores is tucked away at No 4348 on 1st Main Road 1st Cross in Mathur. We are part of the MMDA area, which is a pretty settled neighborhood in this part of Chennai. The shop isn't on a big main highway, so it feels a bit more relaxed than the city center. We keep the usual supplies that families around here need, like grains, soaps, and snacks for the kids. Most days follow a certain rhythm. We open up early, set out some of the items on the front platform, and wait for the first customers to arrive. The 1st Cross street is where a lot of people walk their dogs or head out for morning errands. We know most of our neighbors by name since they’ve been coming here for years. It’s not a very big shop, so it gets full quickly when more than three or four people are inside at once. We have to keep things stacked high to make it all fit. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we are still sorting through heavy bags as the sun goes down. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning to night. There’s no fancy marketing here, just a door that’s open to anyone in Mathur who needs to pick up something for their dinner or their home. We just do our best to stay stocked.
