You can find us over at 4/231 on Kokilambal Street. We are right in the PTC area of Thoraipakkam. It’s a steady kind of life running a shop like this. We get the morning crowd looking for milk and then it slows down until the evening. We have been here long enough that we don't even need to ask what some people want, they just come in and we know. The shop is filled with all the basic stuff you'd expect. We spend a lot of time dealing with wholesalers and making sure the prices we write on the chalkboards are correct. It’s not a fancy setup. The floor is concrete and the shelves are wooden, and it’s a bit cramped when more than three people are inside. But it works. We’ve seen the street change over the years, more cars and more noise now. Thoraipakkam is busy these days. We just keep doing our thing, selling grains and soaps and whatever else is needed. Sometimes a delivery truck blocks the road and we have to help them move quickly. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine for us. We aren't trying to be the biggest store, just a place where you can get what you need without a fuss. We stay open pretty late to make sure people coming back from work can grab their groceries. It’s just a simple neighborhood shop. We like the rhythm of the day here.
