Saikumar General Store

Saikumar General Store is located at Shop No. 15/4 in Redhills, specifically the Padiyanallur side. We are very close to the bus stand, which means we get a lot of people coming and going all day long. It’s a small shop, but we try to keep it packed with everything people might need. The shelves are usually pretty full, and sometimes things are a bit hard to reach. It’s just a standard general store. I’ve been running this place for a while, and it’s mostly just about being here when people need something on their way home. The dust from the road is a bit of a constant battle, so I’m always wiping down the counter. It’s not a fancy supermarket with air conditioning. It’s just a regular shop where you can get your daily essentials. We know most of the people who live around Padiyanallur by name. The mornings are usually the busiest when the buses are lined up. Sometimes it gets a little chaotic with everyone asking for things at once, but we get through it. We don’t have a big staff, just me and occasionally a helper. It’s a long day, starting early and closing late, but it’s what we do. We don’t have any big corporate goals, just keeping the shelves stocked and the customers happy enough to come back. Every day is pretty much the same and that’s fine with us.
