Right Step Preschool

Right Step Preschool is located at 7A, Chakaravarthi Street in East Tambaram. It’s a small place, really. Since it’s a preschool, it’s basically chaos from the moment the doors open. We have toys everywhere and drawings taped to the walls. Some of them are starting to peel off, but we leave them up because the kids like seeing their work. Tambaram is a busy area, so we get a lot of noise from the street, but once the kids start playing, you don't even notice the traffic. We have a small outdoor area where they can run around, though it’s mostly just dirt and a few slides. The teachers here have a lot of patience, which they need because toddlers are unpredictable. Sometimes there’s crying, sometimes there’s laughing, and usually there’s a spill to clean up. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a few rooms where we keep the kids busy while their parents are at work. We try to teach them the basics, like letters and numbers, but mostly it’s about learning how to get along with each other. The furniture is all kid-sized and a bit worn out from years of use. It’s a simple setup, but it works for the families around here. We’re just a local spot for the neighborhood kids to grow up a bit before they head to big school. Most of us are just happy when the day ends without any major accidents.
