You can find our place at 73, Gangadhareeswarar Koil Street in the Purasawalkam area. It is a street filled with old houses, narrow lanes, and small shops. Rani Arts & Crafts has been a part of this neighborhood for a very long time now. The shop is packed with all kinds of things we have either made ourselves or collected over the years. It feels a bit like a warehouse sometimes because there is so much stuff tucked into every corner and shelf. We have traditional items, wooden carvings, and various bits of pottery sitting around. The floor is made of old tile that has seen a lot of foot traffic over the decades. We do not really follow a strict routine here. Some days are spent packing heavy crates for shipping, and other days we are just dusting off the items on the shelves. There is almost always a faint smell of incense in the air. We sit on small wooden stools while we work on the smaller craft pieces. The street outside is usually very crowded with people heading to the temple or the market. We can hear the sounds of bells and car horns all day long. It is a very lively place to be. We do not do any big advertising or marketing. People usually just walk in because they saw something interesting in the window.
