Ramdev Provision Store

Ramdev Provision Store is sitting at 1/2005 on Thiruvalluvar High Road. This part of Gandhi Nagar in Redhills can get very dusty because of all the trucks passing through on the high road. We have a lot of items packed into this small space. You will find big sacks of rice on the floor and rows of plastic containers filled with dals and spices. It is not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. People living in Redhills stop by on their way back from work. They might need a small packet of oil or some washing powder. We try to keep the prices fair, just like any other local provision store in Chennai. The heat can be quite bad in the afternoons, so we have a small fan that doesn't do much, but we stay anyway. There is always something to do, like weighing out items or cleaning the front step. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights. It is just a regular shop where we do our business every day. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by on Thiruvalluvar High Road. Other days, we have a line of people waiting. It is just how it is. We have been here for a while and the neighbors are used to seeing us.
