Rajam Store

Rajam Store is a little shop we have on Tambaram Main Road in Velachery. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always noise and people passing by our door. We carry a bit of everything that a household might need on a daily basis. The shelves are usually packed pretty tight, and sometimes you have to look twice to find exactly what you want, but we are always around to point you in the right direction. It’s a local place where the neighbors stop in for their groceries or small items they forgot to buy earlier. We’ve been here in Velachery for a long time, watching the area change and grow around us. The shop hasn't changed much though. It still has that old-school feel where we write things down in a book and talk to everyone who comes in. We aren't one of those big modern supermarkets. We are just a small storefront on the main road. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy out front, but we just sweep it out and keep going. Most of our customers have been coming to Rajam Store for years, and now their kids come in too. It’s nice to have that kind of connection with the community. We don't do anything fancy, just keep the lights on and the shelves stocked for whoever needs us.
