Raja General Stores

If you are driving down Trunk Road in Ambattur, you will find Raja General Stores. We are right in the Poonamalle area of Chennai. Our shop is where you get all the bits and pieces for the house. We have plastic buckets, some stationery for kids, and the basic food stuff too. It is a crowded spot because of the road but we like the noise. Sometimes customers wait for a bit if there is a queue. We don't have those fancy scanners, we just do everything by hand mostly. The shelves are high and sometimes I have to use a small stool to reach the top. It has been many years since we started this store in Chennai 600053. A lot of the regular faces come by every evening. We talk about the weather or the traffic while I pack their bags. It is a small business, nothing too big. My family helps out when it gets really busy during festival times. We keep snacks and drinks in the cooler for the hot afternoons. The lights inside are a bit dim but you can see what you are looking for. It is just a normal store for normal people. We are not trying to be the biggest, just want to be helpful for the neighborhood. Finding us is easy since we are on the main path.
