Peniel Matriculation Higher Secondary School is found at No 1, Selva Nagar in Pallikaranai. Being in the 600100 area of Chennai means we are part of a growing neighborhood that has changed a lot over the years. Our school sits on a quiet street where you can usually hear the students from a block away. It is a simple setup with classrooms that have seen many batches of students pass through. We have teachers who have been here for years, and they know the parents by name. The daily grind starts with the gates opening early and does not really stop until the last bus leaves in the evening. We have the usual desks, blackboards, and cupboards filled with old files and textbooks. It is not a fancy place, but it works for what we need. We focus on the basic subjects and try to make sure the kids understand their lessons before they go home. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows wider to get some air. The staff spends their breaks talking in the office about the kids or the weather. We do not have any big marketing speeches to give; we just open the doors every morning and do our best to teach the students who show up. It is a practical, local school where the main goal is just to finish the day's work and prepare well for the next morning.
