Our office for Pearls Paradise Food Products Pvt. Ltd. is in Flat No. 3B at Calve Chateav, No. 808, Poonamalee High Road. Being in Kilpauk means we are right in the thick of it. The high road is always jammed with cars and buses, so we hear a lot of noise throughout the day. Our workplace is actually a converted flat, which gives it a bit of a homey feel, even if there are desks everywhere. There is a small kitchen where we make way too much tea. We spend a lot of time talking about different recipes and ingredients because that is what we do. It’s a small group of us here. We don't have a big board of directors or fancy meetings. Usually, we just talk across the room if we need to decide something. The elevator in the building is a bit slow and temperamental, so we often take the stairs. It’s good exercise, I suppose. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated jargon. We just focus on our products and hope people like them. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the Kilpauk traffic, which can be frustrating. We just do our best to stay on top of things. It’s a busy life, but we enjoy the pace. We have some plants on the balcony that we forget to water occasionally, but they seem to survive anyway. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people.
