Om Saravana Stores

Om Saravana Stores is situated at number 19 on Eills Road in the Chepauk area. We are part of Sundra Nagar. The shop has been here for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a typical Chennai store with a lot of stuff packed into a small area. We have batteries, light bulbs, and all kinds of groceries like pulses and oils. The street can be quite narrow and busy, so parking a bike out front is sometimes a challenge. We have a couple of wooden benches inside for people to sit if they have to wait for us to pack their items. The ceiling is high, and we use a long pole to get things down from the top. It’s just how we’ve always done it. I run the place with my brother. We don’t have any fancy software for billing, just a pen and a pad. The floor is old stone and it’s stayed cool even in the middle of May. We get a lot of foot traffic from the people living in the surrounding streets. Most of our customers are like friends now because we see them every single day. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It's just a place to get your stuff and go home. We keep it simple and honest.
