My Supermarket

You can find us at 7, P.V. City, Phase-III in Ambattur. It is a growing area with lots of new houses. This supermarket is not one of those massive ones you see in the city malls. It is more of a neighborhood store for the people living in the apartments nearby. We have several rows of aisles but they are a bit narrow for big groups. If two people have carts they have to navigate around each other carefully. We stock everything from washing powder to frozen snacks and milk. The refrigeration unit makes a loud humming sound that fills the whole room. Sometimes the lights flicker on and off but we have not got around to fixing the old wiring yet. We have a couple of local boys who help with the billing and stocking the shelves. They are young and sometimes make mistakes with the change but they are learning the trade. We do not have a fancy website or online ordering system. Most people just walk in or call us on the phone. The parking outside is a bit of a mess because the road is narrow and people leave their bikes everywhere. We spend a lot of time telling people where to park. The floor gets scuffed up from the metal carts moving around. We try to keep the vegetables fresh but it is hard in the heat.
