Murugappa Stores

Murugappa Stores has been a part of Thriruvika Nagar for quite a while now. You can find us at 35-676 in the Peravallur area. It’s a typical local store where we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. We have lentils, rice, soaps, and all the small things people forget to buy at the big markets. The shop is a bit cluttered because we try to make use of every inch of space we have. Sometimes things get a little dusty on the top shelves where we can't reach easily. I usually open the shop early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Most of our customers are neighbors who have lived in Peravallur their whole lives. We have a small notebook where we keep track of the credit for some of the regulars, which is just how things are done here. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a bit and makes a clicking noise, but it keeps us cool enough. We don't have a website or any of that. If people want to know what we have, they just walk in and ask. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it works for us. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the local families have what they need for their dinner tables every night. Sometimes we run out of the popular items, and people have to come back the next day, but nobody really complains much about it. It’s a relaxed kind of place and we like it that way.
