Murugan Stores

Murugan Stores is located at 48, Rameswaram Road in the T Nagar area of Chennai. If you know T Nagar, you know how crowded and busy it always is. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We carry all the usual household supplies like oil, rice, and cleaning products. The shop isn't very big, so we use the space outside the door to keep some of the larger items during the day. It’s a bit of a struggle to keep things organized when the crowds are thick on the street, but we do our best. We’ve been here for quite some time, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. Still, the store remains pretty much the same as it was years ago. We don't have any high-tech systems; we just remember the prices and do the math ourselves. The humidity in Chennai can be a lot to handle, but we stay open and keep the stock moving. People come to us because we are right on their path home. We don't do any special offers or big sales. It’s just honest prices for the things people need every day. Sometimes we have a chat with the regulars about the local news or the weather. It’s a small, practical business and it keeps us going. We are just a local shop in a very busy part of the city.
