Menko

Menko sits at 18, East Club Road. Shenoy Nagar is a decent place to be, and the street here is usually lined with some trees that give a bit of shade. The building at number 18 is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It is not a flashy place. We have a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a kettle that takes forever to boil. We don't really have a reception area; if you walk in, you are basically right in the middle of where we work. We handle the daily tasks as they come. Sometimes it is quiet and we just listen to the birds outside, but other times it is a scramble to get things finished. East Club Road does not get as much heavy traffic as the bigger streets, which is nice. We have a routine that we follow every morning. Open the windows, turn on the fans, and start going through the mail. We have been here long enough that we know the lady who sells fruit on the corner and the guy who fixes the bikes. It is a local kind of feel. We do not use big words or have fancy meetings. We just sit down and get the job done. The walls are a bit scuffed and the floor tiles are mismatched in one corner, but it doesn't bother us. We are just here to work and then go home to our families. It is just a normal office.
