My name is Babu and I run my catering work from No 45, Anna Street in Chitlapakkam. It is a small-scale operation, mostly just me and a couple of helpers when things get busy during the wedding season. Anna Street is a quiet place, and I like it that way because it lets me focus. I don't call it a big company or anything like that because it is just me doing what I know how to do. I’ve lived in Chitlapakkam for a long time, so most of my customers are my neighbors or people from the next street over. I don't have a fancy menu or a website. Usually, people just come to my door and we sit down to talk about what they need for their function. I do the cooking myself mostly, making sure the taste is consistent. It is a lot of work, from going to the market to buy the vegetables to cleaning up the kitchen at the end of the night. Sometimes I am still cleaning at midnight if there was a big order for the next morning. I don't use any fancy marketing tricks or advertisements. If the food is good, people will come back, and that has been my way of doing things for years. It is simple, practical food for everyday people. I just try to do a good job and keep things moving on Anna Street.
