Eunice Garments

Eunice Garments is tucked away in Saligramam on Bharathi Street. We are at No. 14/34. It is a quiet street compared to the main roads nearby, which is nice for working. Inside, there is usually the sound of sewing machines running and the snip of scissors. We have stacks of fabric sitting around in different colors and piles of finished pieces waiting to be packed up. It is not a large factory, just a local garment place where we handle orders as they come in. Some days it is very hectic when a deadline is close, and other days we spend more time just sorting through the scraps. The light in the shop is okay, but we often have to move things near the window to see the thread colors properly. We do a lot of stitching and making sure the seams are straight. The neighbors know us well since we have been here for a bit. It is a simple setup with a few tables for cutting and a corner for the ironing. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It helps the day go by faster when we have a lot of repetitive work to do. People come in with their own ideas or just to pick up what they ordered last week. We just try to stay on top of the pile.
