Adaah Couture

Adaah Couture is tucked away in 2-D, Firdous Flat, right across from the La-Maredian Hotel in Khanpur. It’s not your typical store with big glass windows. We work out of a flat, which makes it feel a bit more like home, honestly. There is usually fabric draped over the chairs and pins on the floor if you aren't careful where you step. We spend most of our hours here with the sewing machines humming in the background. It’s a small team, mostly just us and a couple of helpers who have been with us forever. We don't do those big fashion shows or anything like that. People just find us because they liked what we made for their friends. The street outside is always crowded with cars going to the hotel, but inside it’s just the sound of scissors and talk. Sometimes we get behind on orders when a machine breaks down, and we have to stay late to catch up. It’s not a polished corporate office. We have snacks on the cutting table sometimes when we’re too busy to take a proper lunch. We know the people who come in, and we know what they like. It’s a personal kind of business. We’ve been in this Khanpur spot for a long time and we don't plan on moving.
