We’re a CBSE school, which basically means we have a lot of books to get through every year. The building is a simple one. It’s not one of those modern flashy places you see in the center of the city. We have a regular routine that starts with the morning assembly. Sembakkam has grown a lot lately, so the traffic nearby has definitely picked up. We have kids coming from all the surrounding streets. Some walk, some come on cycles. The staff room is usually a bit of a mess with notebooks and tea cups, which is how you know we are actually working. We don't have any big marketing speeches. We just teach the subjects and make sure the kids are doing their bit. The classrooms can get a bit warm during the afternoons, but that’s just how Chennai is. We focus on the basics like math, science, and languages. It’s a straightforward environment. No one here is trying to be something we aren't. We’re just a local school trying to help the kids in the neighborhood get their education. We’ve been at No 10 A for quite some time, and we plan on staying right here. It’s a quiet life, mostly.
