Madhina Stores

Madhina Stores is situated in the D46 section of the C.M.D.A Truck Terminal Complex on G.N.T Road. It is a very busy area with trucks coming and going at all hours of the day and night. We are over in the Ponni Amman Medu part of Madhavaram. Because of the location, we see a lot of drivers and workers from the terminal. The shop is mostly geared towards what they need. We have plenty of snacks, cigarettes, cold drinks, and basic toiletries. It gets very dusty here because of all the heavy vehicles on the road, so we are constantly wiping down the counters with a cloth. The building is a big concrete structure and it can get quite warm inside during the midday. We have some basic groceries too for the people living nearby, but the terminal crowd is our main thing. The noise of the engines is constant, and you can hear the horns all day long. We keep a lot of big water bottles in stock because the truck drivers are always thirsty after long trips. The shelves are mostly metal and they get quite hot in the afternoons. We do not have much room for people to walk around, so most customers just stand at the front and tell us what they need. It is a fast-paced kind of store because everyone is in a hurry to get back to their work.
