Kurinji Super Market

We've been here on 2nd Street in VGP Nagar for quite some time now. It’s just a regular shop where people from Ponniamman Medu come to get what they need for their kitchens. Most mornings start early, usually around 6 or 7, when the fresh loads arrive. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes and making sure the rice and dal are stocked up. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the aisles, especially in the evenings when everyone is getting home from work. It’s not a big fancy place, but it stays busy. We know most of the faces that walk through the door by name. If someone needs a specific brand of oil or a certain type of soap and we don't have it, we try to get it in the next delivery. The shelves are packed pretty tight, and sometimes things get a bit dusty, but we keep everything moving. It’s a lot of work keeping track of all the small items like matches and spices. We just focus on keeping the doors open and making sure the locals don't have to go too far for their groceries. The lights might flicker once in a while, and the floor has some scuffs, but it’s just a normal neighborhood market. We are usually here until late at night, just locking up when the street gets quiet. It’s a steady life running a place like this here in our corner of the city.
