Krishna Provision Store

Krishna Provision Store is a small place located in Kandikuppam. We are situated very close to the Sri Bairava Ashram, so we get a lot of people passing by on their way there. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all the basic things people need for their homes. We have jars of sweets, bags of flour, and rows of soaps. It is not a supermarket with bright lights and fancy aisles. Instead, it is a bit crowded and we have to reach high up on ladders to get some items down. We know most of our customers by their first names because they live just a few streets away. We open early in the morning and don't close until late in the evening. There is usually a cat that hangs around the front step, and the neighbors often stop to chat for a few minutes even if they aren't buying anything. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here near the ashram. Sometimes the stock doesn't arrive on time and the shelves look a bit empty, but we just wait for the next truck. It is a quiet, steady kind of life running a shop in Kandikuppam. We just try to keep everything stocked and keep the floor swept as much as we can.
