Krishna Departmental Store

We are situated at number 66 on Swamy Vivekanda Salai. It is a wide and busy road, especially during the evening hours when everyone is coming home from work. Our store is one of those places where you can find a little bit of almost everything. We call it a departmental store, but in reality, it is just a bigger version of the local corner shops you see in every neighborhood. I spend most of my time on my feet, walking back and forth between the different aisles to help people find what they are looking for. The floor is made of white marble, but it is covered in scratches from years of dragging heavy crates and boxes across it. We have a few young men from the local area who work with us to help with the billing and packing the bags. We keep a couple of old refrigerators for cold drinks, which stay very busy when the weather gets hot in the summer months. The shelves are made of metal and we keep them packed as tight as possible to make the most of the space. We do not do any kind of advertising or promotion. People usually just see our sign as they are walking or driving along the Salai and stop in. I have been running this place for more than ten years now. You see a lot of people grow up when you stay in one spot this long.
