Jayapandian Store

We are over here at 5/422 on Pillayar Kovil Street in the Thoraipakkam area of Chennai. It is a busy part of the city, especially near the PTC side. The shop has been sitting here for quite some time now, and we just go about our business every single day. Most of the people who live around 600097 know where we are because this street gets a lot of foot traffic. We open up the doors early in the morning when the sun is just starting to get hot. It is a small space, so things can get a bit crowded when we get our new stock in. There is always a lot of dust from the road, so we spend a good amount of time cleaning the glass and the counters. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just how it is in Chennai. We have a lot of regular people who come in for their daily things. It is not a fancy place, just a normal store where you can find what you need without much fuss. The building itself is an older one, number 5/422. Most days are pretty much the same. We talk to the neighbors, watch the bikes go past on the street, and wait for the evening rush. It is a simple life running a shop in Thoraipakkam. We try to keep everything organized, even though it is hard when things are busy.
