Iqra Traders Pvt. Ltd. is based at 3B in the Park Centre at 14 Venkatanarayana Road. Being in T. Nagar means we are right in the thick of things. It’s one of the busiest parts of the city, so there is always noise and people moving about outside. Our office is just a few rooms where we handle our trading business. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and trying to coordinate deliveries. The office furniture is a bit mismatched because we’ve added pieces over time as we needed them. We aren't really interested in having a polished corporate look. We just need a place to work. The elevator in the building is quite small, so we often end up waiting a while if a lot of people are coming and going. We usually grab lunch from one of the small places nearby. It’s easier than trying to cook. Some days the work is just endless paperwork, and other days we are out meeting people. We don't have a mission statement or any of that. We just try to buy and sell things fairly and keep the business running. It’s just a small group of us here, and we’ve gotten used to the fast pace of T. Nagar. We try to get everything finished before the evening rush makes it impossible to leave.
