Government Primary School Daran

Government Primary School Daran is based in the Trustpuram area of Kodambakkam. We are sitting on 2nd Cross Street. This is a busy part of Chennai 600024. Being a primary school, our days start pretty early when the sun is just coming up. The kids arrive with their bags and there is always a bit of chatter in the air. We are not a massive institution. It is just a small school in a regular neighborhood. The building has been here for a good while. You can see the wear and tear on the walls, but it is a sturdy place. We do not go for anything fancy or polished. There are no marketing teams or PR people here. We just focus on the children from the local streets around Trustpuram. The classrooms are basic but they serve the purpose. Kodambakkam can be a noisy place, especially with the trains and traffic nearby, but inside the school, we try to keep things focused on the lessons. It is a practical sort of place. We do not have big mission statements on the walls. We just teach the kids what they need to know for their age. Some of the teachers have been here for years and they know the families in the area well. It is just a community school doing its part. We are easy to find if you are walking through the cross streets. It is a simple life here.
