Government Higher Secondary School Kamta Chitrakoot

We are located at 137, Venus Nagar, right in the heart of the Kolathur area in Chennai. It’s a pretty standard government school, nothing too flashy or modern. Most of the people working here, including the teachers and the office staff, are from around this neighborhood or nearby suburbs. We spend most of our days dealing with piles of textbooks and making sure the students stay on track with their daily lessons. The building itself has seen a lot of years, so there’s always something that needs a bit of paint or a quick repair here and there. We don't have a big PR team or anyone to make us look fancy, just us staff trying to keep things running as smoothly as possible. In the mornings, the street outside gets quite packed with cycles and kids walking in, which can be a bit of a mess, but we’ve all gotten used to it over the years. The school yard is where everyone gathers before the first bell rings. We have different grades, and we try our best to keep the classrooms tidy, though with so many kids around, it’s a constant battle every single day. Some of our desks have been here as long as I have, maybe even longer. We don't spend any money on advertising because people just know where we are. If you walk past the Venus Nagar stretch, you really can’t miss us. It’s a plain place, but it works for what we need to do.
