Gopi Store

We are located at 210 Throwpathiamman Kovil Street. Being on a temple street means there is always something happening outside. You hear the bells and the people walking by all day long. Our store is just a regular spot where you can grab the things you need for the house. We have bins of grains and rows of bottled drinks. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan running, but it doesn't do much against the humidity. We spend a lot of time restocking the shelves because things seem to disappear as soon as we put them out. The space is a bit cramped, and the lighting isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific brand of soap or a certain type of dal, I can usually find it even in the dark. We have a lot of regular customers who stop in after visiting the temple. They might just want a cool drink or a packet of incense. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. People just know Gopi Store is here at number 210. Sometimes we sit on the bench outside when it is quiet and watch the traffic go by. It is a decent way to spend the day, even if the work is repetitive. There is always a lot of dust from the street, but we keep the broom handy.
