Golden Stores

You can find Golden Stores over on New Avadi Road in Kilpauk. We are situated right across from the Kiran Global Chemicals building. It is a decent spot for a shop like ours to be located. We sell mostly provisions and those little things you always seem to run out of at home at the last minute. The building is a bit old, and we have got the new number 85 and the old number 35 on the door to help people find us without getting lost. I spend most of my day restocking the bins or checking what we need to order for the next week. Kilpauk has changed a lot since I was a kid, but this specific street still feels very familiar to me. We have a lot of regular customers who live in the apartments nearby. They stop by after work to get milk or some spices for their dinner. I usually have the radio playing in the background, mostly the news or some old movie songs. It keeps me company when it is quiet in the afternoons. No big advertising or anything like that happens here. People just know we are here and they come when they need something. The chemical factory across the road brings in some workers who stop by for snacks or a cold drink during their break time. We just try to stay organized and keep the place tidy, though it is hard with so much stock packed into a small space. It is a quiet life.
