Gkm Vidhyashram School

Our school is situated on Mappedu Road in the Perungalathur area of Chennai. It’s a busy part of town and the road outside always has some traffic. The school itself is a place where many local kids come to spend their day. We have the classrooms, a bit of space for play, and the usual office area. It gets quite humid here in Chennai, so the school can feel a bit sticky in the afternoons, but we just get on with it. The students come in their uniforms every morning and there’s a lot of noise until the classes actually start. We have teachers who have been with us for a while, just doing their jobs. It’s a standard school setup with nothing too out of the ordinary. We focus on the daily schedule and making sure the bells ring on time. Parents often wait outside the gate in the afternoons to pick up their children. We’ve become a regular fixture on Mappedu Road over the years. It’s just a place for learning and growing up, with all the typical ups and downs you’d expect. There isn't anything fancy about how we run things, we just keep the doors open and the lessons going. The canteen serves some simple snacks and the students always look forward to their break time. It’s a noisy, happy place most of the time. We have a small library too where it's a bit quieter.
