Gi-Kvp Konkan Supermarket Private Limited

Our shop, Gi-Kvp Konkan Supermarket Private Limited, is located at 36H, Maya Vinyagar Koil Street. It’s a street that always has a lot of people walking around because of the temple just down the way. We see people passing by our door all day long. Some people stop in for a quick item, while others are just heading to the koil for prayer. We’ve got the supermarket set up with narrow aisles that we try to keep as full as possible. It involves a lot of heavy lifting and moving bags of rice or flour around. The shelves are always being shifted to make a little more room for new stock. Maya Vinyagar Koil Street has its own specific feel, especially during the festival months when the whole road gets really crowded with stalls and people. We have to work a lot harder to get our deliveries through the crowds then. The building at 36H isn't a new construction, but it works fine for what we need. We spend most of our time standing at the counters or working in the small back room where the extra inventory is kept. It’s a very typical life for a local supermarket. We know most of the other shopkeepers on the street too. Sometimes we stand outside and chat for a minute when the sun goes down. It gets a bit dusty inside, so we spend every morning cleaning.
