Food Village Restaurant

You can find Food Village Restaurant at No 1/81 on the East Coast Road. We are right near the Prathana Theatre in the Injambakkam area of Gopalapuram. We have been here for a while now, and it is a good spot. The ECR is always full of cars and people heading to the beach, but our little corner stays pretty grounded. We are just regular people running a kitchen. We don’t have a big corporate office or a board of directors. It’s just the staff and the owners working together every day. The place is simple. We don’t use fancy tablecloths or expensive decorations. We think the food should be the main thing anyway. Sometimes the weather gets really hot being so close to the coast, but we keep the fans going and keep moving. We know a lot of the families who live around Injambakkam. They come in on the weekends mostly. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local restaurant trying to do a decent job. If the service is a bit slow on a Sunday night, it’s just because we are small and doing our best. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. Just this little shop by the theatre. We like the neighborhood and the people here. It’s a practical place for a meal.
