Food Tub Restaurant

We’re located in Teachers Colony in Injambakkam Village, right at Block No 1. This part of Chennai, near the 600041 pin code, has a different feel than the middle of the city. It’s a bit more relaxed. Food Tub Restaurant is just a small local place we’ve put together. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations or a big sign. Mostly, people find us because they live nearby or they’ve heard about us from a neighbor. The building is simple and we try to keep it comfortable for everyone. We do a lot of the work ourselves, from buying the groceries to cleaning the floors at night. It’s a family-run kind of thing, even if we aren’t all related. We’ve gotten to know the families in Teachers Colony pretty well over the months. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times we’re scrambling to keep up with orders. That’s just the nature of the business. We don’t use any complicated recipes or strange ingredients. We just stick to what we know people around here like to eat. It’s a honest way to spend the day. Being in Injambakkam means we get a bit of that sea breeze now and then, which is a nice break from the kitchen heat. We’re just happy to be part of the village life here and keep things moving. It's nothing special, but it's ours.
