Fill Belly

We are located over in Royapuram, right in the heart of the 600013 area. It’s an old part of Chennai, so things can get pretty cramped and noisy on the streets. We opened up Fill Belly because there seemed to be a need for more food options around here. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it works for what we do. Every morning we're in here prepping ingredients and making sure the kitchen is tidy. It gets hot in Chennai, so we're always messing with the fans to keep the air moving. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we all know the local shortcuts and the best times to avoid the main roads. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the harbor traffic, which can be a bit of a headache. We don't put much effort into fancy decorations or anything. It's just chairs and tables and a place for people to have a meal. You might hear the bikes revving outside or the neighbors talking while you sit here. We see a lot of the same faces every day, mostly workers from the area or families living down the street. It’s a busy life running a place like this, but we've gotten into a rhythm over time. We just keep the doors open and do our best to stay organized. There isn't much else to say. We're just here on the corner doing our thing.
