Dhaniya Sri Dal Mill

We’ve been running Dhaniya Sri Dal Mill for a while now over on Thanavaram Street. If you know where the old government hospital is in Kothapet, we are right near there at number 89. It’s a busy spot and people are always coming and going. The mill gets pretty loud when the machines are going, but that is just part of the job. Most days start early because there is always a lot of processing to get through before the sun gets too high. We handle different kinds of pulses and grains here. The air inside always smells a bit like raw earth and dried beans. We aren't a big factory or anything, just a local place where we do the work ourselves. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a belt or cleaning out the bins, which is frustrating but it happens. Clients from around Kothapet drop by to check on their orders or just to see how things are moving along. It’s a simple setup with a few rooms for storage and the main milling area. We keep things moving as much as we can. The street outside is usually crowded with bikes and carts, so getting things loaded takes a bit of patience. We don't have a fancy office, just a desk where we keep the books and some chairs for visitors. It's honest work and we've lived in this area long enough to know everyone's face.
