Desikan Stores

Desikan Stores is our little place at 52, Perambur Main Road. It’s been sitting on this stretch for quite some time. If you know the Perambur area, you know how busy the main road gets during the day. We spend most of our time just stocking things and helping whoever walks in. It’s a standard store, nothing too special about the look of it. We have shelves full of different items that people need. Some days are really quiet and I just sit behind the counter watching the cars go by outside. Other days, it’s like everyone in the neighborhood decided to come in at the same time. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us making sure everything is in its place. The building itself is old, but it stays cool enough in the summer. We’ve known some of our regulars for years now. They stop in just to say hello even if they aren't buying anything that day. It's just a regular part of the street life here. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It's just a shop where you can find what you need without a lot of fuss. Perambur Main Road can be a headache with the parking, but people manage to find a way. We just keep the doors open and do our best to keep things moving along nicely. It's not a big corporate chain, just a local spot.
