Daily Super Market

Daily Super Market is over at 36 Thiruverkadu. We are pretty close to Selva Ganapathy Nagar, so a lot of people from there come to us for their daily needs. The shop isn't as big as the ones you see in the city malls. We have about four long aisles. We stock vegetables in the morning, and they usually go pretty fast. I wake up early to get the fresh produce from the market. It’s a long day, starting at 4 AM and not finishing until 9 PM. My sister handles the dairy section. The fridge we have is old and makes a humming noise, but it keeps the milk cold, so we don't complain. We don't have a big mission statement or anything fancy. We just want to make sure the locals can get their cooking oil and flour without any trouble. Sometimes we have a bit of a crowd on Sunday mornings when everyone is home. The parking outside is a bit tight, people just park their scooters wherever they find space. It can be a bit chaotic. We’ve had this shop for about six years now. It used to be a smaller room, but we knocked down a wall to make it bigger. It’s still a work in progress. We just do our best to keep the shelves full and the floor swept. It's not perfect but it's ours.
