Balamurugan Stores

Balamurugan Stores is a small place at 40, Bharathidhasan Nagar. We’re right in the middle of a residential neighborhood, so most of our customers are just our neighbors walking over from their houses. We started this store because there weren't many places nearby to grab a few things without heading all the way into the main town. It’s a small shop, so we have to be careful about what we stock. We mostly keep the essentials like milk, soap, and snacks for the kids who come by after school. The store can get pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and realizes they forgot something for dinner. We don't have fancy checkout scanners or anything like that. We just write things down in a ledger if someone needs to pay us back later. It’s a friendly way of doing things, and it works for a place like Bharathidhasan Nagar. Sometimes the neighborhood kids hang around the front for a bit, and we don't mind as long as they aren't blocking the door. It’s a quiet life for the most part. My wife and I take turns behind the counter, so one of us is always here from early morning until late at night. It isn't a big empire, just a local store that keeps the neighborhood going through the week.
