Arun Baskar Catering Service is tucked away on Club Road in Tambaram East. Most of our days start way before the sun is even up. We have to head to the markets to find the right ingredients before the best stuff is gone. Back at the kitchen at No 5/6, it’s a constant cycle of cleaning, cutting, and cooking. The 600059 area is our home base, and we are usually seen driving the delivery truck around the neighborhood. Catering is a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of time. We have big stainless steel pots that seem to be always bubbling with something. When we have a big order, the whole team is on their feet for hours without a break. It is not the kind of job where you sit at a desk. We are usually covered in flour or smelling like spices by noon. People in Tambaram know us for being around for their family gatherings. We don't really do much advertising or have a polished website. Most of our work comes from just being here and doing the job every day. The kitchen is where all the real action happens, and it can get pretty chaotic when several orders are due at once. We just keep our heads down and keep the stoves burning. It is a tiring business but it keeps us busy.
